Several golfers are plagued by a golf swing that produces the exact flight path they desperately seek to avoid.

Hook shots are sometimes produced purposely in clutch situations on the golf course, but more often than not players do so on missed shots due to disruptive movements in their natural motion.

Searching for a hook fix should top the list of any novice golfer or veteran that cannot produce a solid straight golf swing on command.

Typically when golfers slow their swings, or even bring motion to a complete standstill during play, often turning towards their target, it can force our arms and hands to violently move through to the hitting area, effectively shutting the clubface out and causing a snap hook that takes the golf ball completely off the intended flight path.

A hook fix that restricts our clubface from shutting out through impact requires the player to remain in constant motion, maintaining their turn throughout.

Though such a movement can be difficult as it will counter what comes natural for our body, be confident that it will produce a perfectly straight golf swing in the long run.

Allowing our chest to rotate forward in motion with our hips, once our belt buckle aims left of target, the perfect position will have been achieved. This positioning prevents our clubface from closing during our swing and will assist the ball in maintaining our desired flight path.

Often a hooking shot can be the product of too strong of grip on our golf club, which can cause unwanted swiveling in the club during our swing. Correcting the hook can often be as easy as adjusting how we grip the golf club.

Golfers must also focus on maintaining their natural speed while rotating through their swings. Instead of being fixated on correcting the way they angle the clubface, paying attention to the way our body moves will assist in achieving a smooth natural motion that carries our clubface through to impact without any hesitation in momentum.

Our body will act as a guide for the golf club, preventing any overcompensation in movement on the part of our hands or wrists.
