McEwen Reviews It: The Stitch SL2 Golf Bag

Stitch Golf has been around for quite a while now, primarily known for its unique and high-quality headcovers. But there is so much more to Stitch than “just” headcovers.

Apparel, travel bags, a slew of great accessories and, just recently, a full line of collegiate putter covers.

And then there are the STITCH golf bags. My goodness are they gorgeous.

I’ve had my fair share of golf bags throughout the years. Five of them over the past eight years, the same span of time I have been with my wife. The Stitch SL2 is bag number six. And as I unboxed it in our living room, my wife, who mostly rolls her eyes at all of my golf swag excitement, noticed this one.

“That’s the nicest bag you’ve ever owned,” she said.

And she isn’t wrong. The SL2 is quite the head-turner. My first excursion with it was a scramble golf outing. As I loaded it onto the cart, I was joined by quite the gaggle of golfers to get a closer look. But who could blame them?

But this new offer from Stitch isn’t just a pretty face. It’s incredibly well designed. Four pockets, one of them felt-lined for valuables, provide more than enough space, despite it being a nice, slim bag. The harness system can be adjusted for a single or double-strap, or quickly come off if you’ll be in a cart for the round. The four-way top divider, with full-length compartments, keeps your clubs organized and prevents a lot of the clanking you get from other bags when your irons are constantly hitting one another. Finally, at 64 ounces in weight, the bag is an easy and comfortable carry.

Overall, the Stitch SL2 is a gorgeous, well-designed golf bag that is full of features as well as thoughtful creature comforts.

I have a feeling I’ll be on bag number six for quite some time.
