Exploring ABANDONED Golf Course Country Club and Irish Pub

This abandoned location is a small 9-hole public golf course that opened in the late 1950’s. The facility however, was not only a golf club but it also housed an Irish pub and an Inn with rooms for rent as well as a banquet hall

Located on a large remote property this abandoned golf course was established in the late 1950’s. Prior to this, the property was an old farm that dates back to the late 1800’s.

The club started out as an original 18 Hole Golf, Hotel and Banquet Facility was replaced with a very rustic looking Banquet Facility and a small Executive 9 Hole Golf Course.

I am surprised to have found very little history on this facility, in the pub there is a sitting area with a stone fireplace and the Freemasons icon is carved into the stone above the fireplace.

The entire facility is built into a century old barn with tough and weathered beams providing a rock solid skeleton for the structure. The Irish Pub, small and dark with a long bar and sitting area looks just as you would expect it to look, outside is a patio and a covered room with a pool table.

The banquet hall is beautiful with a long wooden bar with decorative etchings and classic pub style lights. I can see this having been the perfect setting for many rustic country weddings over the years.

Where things get weird is the second level, several rooms that could be rented are found on the second level, built into the barn these rooms do not seem like they belong and I could just never imagine renting a room at a golf course…I didn’t spend much time here.

The local kids have done their thing here with almost every possible window that can be smashed, smashed. Upstairs in the pro shop you will find golf clubs thrown and whacked into the drywall at many different angles…it looks like they had fun.

All things considered, this was an enjoyable location, abandoned golf courses and abandoned irish pubs don’t come around too often.
